Me in a back toe-hold
|
Hi, my name is Oene van der Zee and my biggest hobby is barefoot waterskiing, and that's what this site is about. I'm from Holland and on this site you will find some information about Dutch barefooting. But most of all a lot of pictures of me and my friends.

To be able to barefoot you need speeds well in excess of 40 mph. You can imagine that with such a high speed the water gets very hard. That's why it is possible to ski on your bare feet. Barefooting gets you the biggest kick you'll ever get, there's only one downside: if you fall the water feels like concrete.

The Milligerplas
I am a member of WSV De Hanze, a barefootclub in Zwolle (somewhere in the middle of Holland). We ski at a lake that's called The Milligerplas.
To get the speed necessary for barefooting you require a fast boat ofcourse. I have a Ski Centurion Barefoot Warrior with a 200HP Mercury Optimax outboard. This boat is able to do 60 mph and more. But we don't use this speed for barefooting ofcourse.
